Magpie Dance is looking for new Session Volunteers to support our dance sessions. Our dance charity based in Bromley and South East London holds 16 weekly dance classes for people with learning disabilities. The kindness and hard work of volunteers is absolutely integral to the smooth running of our charity.
To volunteer you do not need any dance or teaching experience, or experience of working with people with learning disabilities; all you need is some free time, a desire to help others and an open mind. This is an exciting opportunity for you to get involved with a pioneering dance charity and empower people with learning disabilities through dance.
In your role as a session volunteer, you will work with dancers and the team to support one of Magpie Dance’s 16 weekly sessions. Magpie Dance sessions are ‘inclusive’ and by actively participating and supporting participants one to one when required, Session Volunteers enable participants with learning disabilities to engage further in the sessions.
Magpie Dance volunteers are asked to adhere to our policies and procedures at all times.
To volunteer in any capacity, please complete your details on the form below.
Please note that you must be 18+ to apply
We are very grateful to all our current volunteers who have supported and continue to support Magpie Dance participants in classes, on projects, at performances - and everything in between!
